St John of the Cross

O St John of the Cross!

My friend, you helped me to understand that the darkness is not to be feared. When I plunged into darkness for the first time, I feared that I had made a mistake and was no longer loved by God.

Oh friend! Thank you for helping me to see that the darkness was not the absence of God. That it was in fact Him revealing Himself even more to me, and that His blinding Light was the cause of darkness.

Pray for us, my dear friend. That we may all be courageous to look within ourselves, and find the Treasure that is Him. Pray that we may not be intimidated by the darkness, and that we may look forward to the day when our eyes finally adjust to His Light.

Until we see Him, face-to-face!
